Productive Wednesday night

Yes, it happened folks. I was halfway productive last night. I got the dishes done (3-4 days' worth), worked on the budgeting (about 40% done), and cleaned/organized a couple things here and there. Felt so great, and even got to bed by 11 pm!

I love "The Middle". I know I told you this before, but it is so funny. Last night was no exception. Also watched "Suburgatory", and "American Idol". So, got some entertainment and some work done last night!

Well, we're going to try making our own sesame chicken at home tonight. Should be yummy and interesting. Toodles!

La la de da

Well, the last couple of days have been good. Putting Alina to bed at 8pm has meant I get a little less done around the house, but I thoroughly enjoy my time with her. Last night we tried 7:45 for bedtime, and it went okay, so I'm hoping we can get her back to that 7pm time for bed.

Yesterday was the CommUniversity event here at ISU where we invite the community to come learn more about the university. There's tons of informational booths set up about campus activities, programs, majors, and services, plus food and giveaways and entertainment. We enjoyed some time together at the event, having our dinner here, plus enjoying the entertainment and informational booths.

Did you watch "Fashion Star" last night? It's a new show. Interesting concept. Also makes it glaringly obvious how modesty is just not an issue in the fashion industry.

Well, I'm going to jet. Hope to get dishes done tonight and tackle the pesky budgeting once and for all! C-ya!

Weekend recap and feeling good

Wow, it was a great weekend! We didn't go to the temple; Mark wants to go next week, earlier in the morning, and then spend some time shopping. :) Yup, Mark wants to shop! For baby clothes, and clothes for him. :) We'll take Alina up with us and make a day of it!

So... we decided we should spend some time with Alina on Saturday. We went out to eat, and on our way to the McKee's petting zoo, Alina fell asleep! So we headed home. I made a made dash for Winco to grab some groceries, and got done in about 45 minutes or so! Not bad for about 12:30/1:00 pm on a Saturday! Then, after Alina woke up from her nap, we raked leaves out front. Remember, Saturday's weather was so gorgeous, right? We loved it and just soaked it up. Alina did a little walking while Mark raked, and I did some raking too, while Alina picked up one leaf at a time, putting them in a bucket. :) Too cute! Then, Mark just mowed over the leaf piles and voila! Our front yard looks much nicer. Then, we headed to McKee's again and Alina enjoyed seeing the puppies, rabbits, and visiting the petting zoo. When the Canadian goose followed us around, honking, Alina turned around and "honked" back at it- it was precious, and funny! We then headed to Chubbuck Elementary to play on the playground equipment (Alina's first time on a slide!) and kick a soccer ball around. Again, Alina just loved it! She kept shrieking in excitement and was all smiles. She hated to leave. :) Then we went home and made pizza, and for date night, Mark and I went to see the latest Sherlock Holmes movie. Well, from what I saw of it (remember, I'm uber tired these days), it was good, and we both agreed to rent it and watch again because it was really good.

Sunday was great- I subbed in Primary, and enjoyed a nice walk home from church (let's just say Mark and Alina had to go home a little early- mommy didn't check the diapers in the diaper bag, and had used the last one earlier during church, so when Alina went boom-boom... well, the only diapers to be had were at home). It was nice that 3 people stopped to ask if I needed/wanted a ride home... made me feel loved. We enjoyed dinner with my mom. Had a bit of a rough time with Alina and bed, with the time change and all (and me not thinking ahead much about it), but now that we've figured it out, we'll ease her back to normalcy.

Well, I'm going to jet, but hope you had a great weekend and have a great Monday!

TGIF peeps, TGIF!

Loved "Big Bang Theory" last night and got a little work done on the budget. Then slept. Then washed 1 1/2 days' worth of dishes and bottles. Not a bad Thursday.

Love this weather outside- can't believe how wonderful it is! Makes me want to take Alina to the park to play! Maybe we'll do that tomorrow. We'll be going up to the temple, doing some grocery shopping, and hopefully having some fun this weekend.

Enjoy your weekend!

Catching you up on the last few days

Yup, it's been a good few days. Yes...

Tuesday, I went grocery shopping (didn't happen Monday night because Mark was out studying for a test until 11:30 pm!). Watched some "Biggest Loser" and I think that's about it. Mark was a dear and helped me by doing the laundry. :)

Wednesday, yesterday, I didn't do a whole lot. So. Freaking. Tired. Just did a couple odds-and-ends type of things around home.

Planning on being more productive tonight. Yes. Good plans and good attentions, and dang it- going to motivate myself!

Toodles!

Monday night was a good night

Yesterday was grand. Made dinner for Mark, who came home about 6/6:30pm after a study session for his Neuroscience class. Then, he went and studied with a friend for that same class from about 8-11:30 pm. He had a test today in class, and feels he did pretty well on it- better than his first test (which he got a B in- good in my book). I think all the extra studying he's been doing the last couple of weeks definitely helped him. Tomorrow, he's got a Chemistry test, and then Thursday he's got a presentation in a class. Busy, busy!

Watched "The Voice", a little of "The Bachelor: The Girls Tell All" episode, and "Smash". Did a little organizing around home and made up my grocery list (gotta get food TONIGHT!).

Whatddya think of all this snow outside today? Not that it's a lot, but it's coming down nicely. Hopefully it will be melted within the next day or two. :)

TTYL!

Lots of fun for everyone

When Alina gets her pictures taken professionally, it is so much fun! We went in to the Walmart picture studio on Saturday and little miss A was so cute! It really helped that the photographer was uber nice and so good with children- she really got Alina to laugh and smile and look great! We think every picture was fantastic and can't wait to get our prints back.

We did get the shingles put on our roof that we needed, and just fiddled around the rest of Saturday. A great day overall.

Sunday was good- I substituted in Primary, and we enjoyed dinner with my family. We took a box over to a gal in town who collects them for shipping to the Philippines. Since the shipper was up here Sunday, we dropped the box off then so we could get a receipt. It was fun to talk to a couple of Filipinas and enjoy some yummy macaroni salad (which Alina loved)!

Today was my first real OB visit, so it was fun to listen to baby's heartbeat. Oh- you didn't know- yup, I'm pregnant! 14 weeks as of today. Fun fun fun!
